OPM are delighted to be working with this major Social Games Studio. They are looking for a QA Manager to be a dedicated leader to an in impressive team of testers working directly with the Head of Social Games.
My clients IP’s are some of the most successful in the business operating on a number of platforms with more in the process. They have some of the most played games in this genre and they need a QA manager who has the skills and the experience to help lead the team in the direction the business needs.
Responsibilities
• Be responsible for quality as the leader of a dedicated QA team
• Logically perform structured and exploratory testing on a game title
• Quickly and methodically detect and log issues and track their progress
• Be the point of contact for the QA team making the most efficient use of their time and maximizing their value to the game team
• Work closely with game engineers to prioritize and solve bugs and deliver feedback
• Map and analyze application flow for risks and provide contingencies
• Create and implement dedicated test suites and associated test cases
• Formulate efficient strategies for testing specific game features
• Track, measure and communicate performance of QA
Experience Required
• A strong background in Quality Assurance spanning several game or web projects
• Knowledge and experience of issue tracking/project management tools
• Previous experience with online social communities and mobile games on Mobile Social Gaming platforms
• Experience in test script, test case, test suite and test plan creation
• Experience with Agile (Scrum)
• Excellent written and verbal negotiation and communication skills
• A pro-active and driven attitude towards QA and ability to work under pressure
• Demonstrable ability to self-manage and be organized with a strong work ethic
