OPM are working with a highly successful Online Developer and Publisher that is expanding exponentially, and the team of outstanding, engaged professionals is growing with it. They are looking for a Senior Associate Balance Designer to join them so if your talent and abilities would make a valuable contribution to our client's future, we'd love to hear from you!
They are seeking a Senior or Associate Balance Designer for their popular online casual game. Breaking down complex ideas into easily accessible and fun features should be your second nature. You should be able to work well with a large team and also have the ability and enthusiasm to push forward new ideas and designs.
Duties/Responsibilities
Work closely with the Lead Game Designer towards a shared vision
Communicate closely with development team and artists
Design core game loops, features and mechanics
Design and balance monetized features
Assist in implementation of designed items and features
Create forecasts and interpret analytical data for events, features and items
Required Skills & Experience
Good English written and verbal communication skills
Strong knowledge of casual, browser, and/or social game design
Experience balancing free to play features on at least one published title
Ability to understand the game’s vision and apply it to every part of the design
Knowledge of free-to-play monetization techniques
1+ shipped or maintained free-to-play game or MMO
Pluses
Experience with KPI analysis and interpretation
Broad knowledge and understanding of fundamental analytical and statistical methods
Programming/scripting experience
Project planning/project management experience
College degree preferred
