OPM are delighted to be working on this exciting opportunity for a Senior Games Designer to join our hugely successful games client based in the Czech Republic.
We are looking for a dedicated, passionate and creative SeniorGame Designer to join the team working on the next AAA title of the studio. The successful candidate will design and implement innovative and compelling play experiences.
You will have extensive knowledge of all forms of gaming and platforms and have the ability to create and combine ideas together to deliver high quality play experience. You can devise complex and deep mechanics in a simple way and can explain them clearly. You will also be able to move from the Developer to the Player's perspective and devise a play experience that you enjoy as a gamer.
Duties/Responsibilities
-Work with and oversee the design team to incorporate Game Features and maintain overall balance between multiple gameplay systems
-Work closely with the Game Director, Game Leads to ensure overall project quality.
-Continually iterate, balance and tune features and gameplay based on feedback from Leads, QA and play testing
-Organize and/or participate in collaborative, interdisciplinary sub-teams to implement and balance gameplay features from initial design to final polish
-Write, revise and provide feedback on internal design documentation, including feature specifications and implementation guides
Skills/Experience Required:
-Extensive games design experience with at least one shipped title in the current generation of consoles
-Experience in a senior/management design position
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Experience in working with other designers/creative to create game experience
-Strong knowledgeable about Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PC, iOS and social games
-Knowledge of competitive products and industry trends
-Ability to adapt and re-evaluate ideas
-Ability to learn new software tools and technologies
