The latest social media research from Way To Blue suggests that Call of Duty: Ghosts is lagging behind the competition in terms of social media buzz.
The agency, which bases its findings on data gathered using an algorithm based on both social conversation search queries and proprietary methodology, measured both ‘share of voice’ and ‘propensity to purchase’.
Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V was the clear winner in both categories but what is perhaps more interesting is that Call of Duty: Ghosts managed to place only third in both.
It managed only half of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’s share of voice numbers (although it thumped Battlefield 4) but then lagged nearly two per cent behind EA’s shooter in the number of users saying they were going to buy the game (although this time it just pipped Black Flag).
Activision earlier said that it expects Ghosts to be the most successful launch title for the Xbox One and PS4 by a wide margin”.
Grand Theft Auto V was released on September 17th, Black Flag on October 29th, Battlefield 4 on November 1st and Ghosts on November 5th.
