Angry Birds spin-off Bad Piggies coming to retail

Rovio’s new Angry Birds spin-off is coming to retail next month.

A PC version of Bad Piggies will be released by Focus Multimedia, and the publisher says the game will even get free DLC in the form of extra levels – just like the game’s iOS equivalent.

Bad Piggies, as the name suggests, puts players in control over the evil pigs from the smash hit Angry Birds series. Gamers are challenge to create the ‘ultimate flying machine’ and take the pigs where they need to go.

Bad Piggies will retail for 10.20.

"Bad Piggies is a testament to Rovio’s exceptional talent for creativity and consistently entertaining gameplay," said Focus brand manager Alan Wild.

"This time last year saw Angry Birds achieve phenomenal festive retail success. Bad Piggies promises a repeat performance. With fresh and exciting appeal, established imagery and iconic characters, the Bad Piggies PC release is perfectly timed for another piggin’ brilliant Christmas at retail."

Focus Multimedia has released a number of successful Angry Birds games via its deal with Rovio, including the original title and its three sequels: Rio, Seasons and Space.

Bad Piggies isn’t the only Rovio title heading to retail next month, with Activision set to release Angry Birds Trilogy for Xbox 360, PS3 and 3DS on Friday, September 28th.
