Apple Stores fall from 1st to 13th in Which favourite retailers survey

UK consumers are apparently falling out of love with Apple Stores over accusations of poor customer service.

This year’s Which Shop Survey found that the chain is now the UK’s 13th favourite retailer – a sharp drop from last year when it topped the ratings.

Several customers complained about it being difficult to book an appointment with Apple’s Genius Bar service, which helps you if you’re having technical problems,” the report states.

Lush was the top rated retailer, with good scores also given to The Disney Store, Richer Sounds, John Lewis and Waterstones.

WH Smiths was rated worst for the second year in a row while Homebase, HMV and EE were also criticised.

Other ratings included Argos in 19th, Sainsburys in 33rd, Asda in 51st, Currys/PC World in 51st, Tesco in 61st and Toys R Us in 80th.

GAME finished in 73rd.

We’ve seen time and time again that consumers won’t settle for bad customer service and our high street shops survey confirms this,” Which executive director Richard Lloyd said. Those stores giving people the care and attention they want have happy customers who return.”

The survey is based on the opinions of 12,500 shoppers.
