Apple Watch ships next month

Apple has peeled back the curtain further on its new wearable the Apple Watch, announcing pre-orders and shipping start next month.

The iDevice maker will offer small and large sizes of three different editions of the watch: Apple Watch Sport, Apple Watch and Apple Watch Edition, and each will need to be tethered to an iPhone 5 or 6 device.

The Apple Watch Sport is made of specialized rubber and aluminum will go for either $349 or $399, depending on size. The Apple Watch – made of stainless steel and boasting a display protected by sapphire crystal” – goes for $549-$1,049 for the small and $599-$1,099 for the large, with the choice of band creating the wide price range.

Finally, the Apple Watch Edition will start at the stout price of $10,000. The band is constructed of 18-karat gold around a sapphire crystal display, and several golden hues are available to choose from.

Apple Watch’s launch territories include USA, UK, Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, France, China, Canada and Australia. Pre-orders begin April 10th, with the product shipping date set for April 24th.

Apple originally unveiled Apple Watch this past September.
