Ark: Survival Evolved dev settles legal dispute with Dungeon Defenders studio

Studio Wildcard has reached a settlement agreement with Dungeon Defenders dev Trendy Entertainment.

The terms of the settlement – not unusually – have not been publically released, though Studio Wildard Susan Stieglitz reportedly said on Twitter to a fan – who shared to Reddit – that the firm ended up paying ’40’ (presumably $40m).

Kotaku reports that the mediation took place last Wednesday in Trendy’s home town of Gainesville, Florida.

The lawsuit kicked off in March, with Trendy alleging that one of its former employees – Jeremy Stieglitz – breached his non-compete claus after he left the firm and started working at Studio Wildcard. According to Susan Stieglitz, Trendy was after $600m from Wildcard.

Ark: Survival Evolved launched into Early Access in June 2015 and was one of the most popular games on Steam last year. The title has since come to Xbox One.
