Bayonetta 2 still on track for 2014

Wii U exclusive Bayonetta 2 is still due out in 2014.

As part of its investor presentation Nintendo named both Bayonetta 2 and Monolith Soft’s X as part of Wii U’s 2014 release schedule for Europe, America and Japan.

The Nintendo published title was announced in 2012. In June last year Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata said the game was targeting a 2014 release.

Developer Platinum has previously explained that without Nintendo’s support the title wouldn’t even exist and has subsequently praised the platform holder’s work ethic.

They know a lot about games, and they’ve been really great to work with,” producer Atsushi Inaba said. Our relationship so far with Nintendo hasn’t been very long, but so far it’s been a great experience. Not to say that we won’t have some serious fights over things later, but so far it’s been good.”
