BioWare rules out Xbox SWTOR

Acclaimed RPG developer BioWare has moved to scupper any lingering hopes that in-the-works MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic is also lining up a secret arrival on Xbox 360.

Talk of said SKU emerged yesterday after an Xbox 360 version of the title appeared on a leaked GAME release schedule.

However, also on the list were a number of questionable entries, such as an Xbox 360 version of Ubisoft’s Haze and Activision’s cancelled World of Conflict. It now seems that the Star Wars game can be added to the list of vapourware.

As to why The Old Republic is on that list, we have no idea but to allay any confusion, we should not be on there,” community manager Sean Dahlberg told Edge.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is currently being developed for the PC. While we recognise that there are other operating systems and platforms available for games today, our development is specific to the personal computer using the Windows operating system at this time.”
