Boxed Angry Birds console games are landing at retail next year accompanied by a line of official accessories.

The titles are due on Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo 3DS and could be here as soon as February. Impact Global Solutions has acquired the rights to produce and distribute over ten peripherals for the game, including branded 3DS car chargers, ear buds and cases, as well as headsets for 360 and PS3.

There will also be an Angry Birds controller and HDMI cable available.

Although the game has yet to receive an official release date, IGS tells MCV it will coincide with the accessories’ launch. The firm aims to manufacture these in January and ship by late February.

IGS CEO Martin Richards said: “We are delighted to be working with Rovio. The Angry Birds range will be launched in conjunction with Rovio’s release of the games on each associated platform and are available for pre-order now.”

Angry Birds launched at retail in the form of a PC release last month, courtesy of Focus Multimedia.

given that it is a 2d game by nature why would 3d be good for it? i mean making the birds stick out may look interesting but a game like that just doesnt need it... plus it wont be so good on the low res screen. best way to play it is on pc. i love playing it in 1080p, seeing the whole level not having it zoomed in
