Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer to include female soldiers

Playable female soldiers have been unveiled for the multiplayer portion of Call of Duty: Ghosts.

GameSpot reports on a special presentation for the game put on by Infinity Ward yesterday in Los Angeles that spilled several major details on the title – including the new option for in-game co-ed play.

Along with the addition of female soldiers, the developers confirmed multiplayer for the upcoming title features 14 maps out of the box, seven new game modes, 30 new weapons, squad-based gameplay and dynamic map events.

The game also supports new player movement, such as mantling, knee slides and contextual leaning.

Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin explained that the multiplayer in Ghosts represents the biggest overhaul of the mode since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, released in 2007.

Activision also confirmed it will release a new Call of Duty App that players can use to track their in-game stats and other items.

Call of Duty: Ghosts arrives this November for PC, Wii U, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
