Capcom’s net sales for the quarter ending June 30th has hit 16,352 million yen ($1.07 billion), a rise of 14.5 per cent when compared to the same period last year.

The success follows the release of Capcom’s PSP hit Monster Hunter Freedom 2G, which has shifted 2.4 million units since it was released in March.
Capcom also revealed that it expects Street Fighter IV to sell 1.7 million units when it is released in the third quarter and Resident Evil 5 to sell 2.3 million units when it arrives next year.
