Crash Bandicoot reboot grabs second No.1

Nostalgic platforming remake Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy is the UK’s No.1 for the second week in a row.

Activision’s title remains immovable despite week two sales dropping by over three quarters. In doing so it becomes the first PS4 exclusive to hold onto successive chart top spots since Uncharted 4 just over a year ago.

Codemasters’ Micro Machines slips three places but still clings onto a Top Five spot, with a host of enduringly familiar names filling out the gaps in between – Grand Theft Auto V (2nd), Overwatch (3rd) and FIFA 17 (4th).

More success for Activision comes in the form of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, which re-enters the Top 10 for the first time in almost ten weeks in 8th. It is beaten by EA’s Battlefield 1, however, with price drops seeing the shooter jumping 16 places to 6th.

Sony’s Horizon Zero Dawn also re-enters the Top 10, having ducked out for just one week.

An otherwise quiet week sees the discounted Hitman and Deux Ex: Mankind Divided re-enter the Top 40 in 16th and 27th respectively.

Here’s the full UK Top 10 for the week ending July 8th:

  1. Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy (Actvision)
  2. Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar)
  3. Overwatch (Blizzard)
  4. FIFA 17 (EA)
  5. Micro Machines: World Series (Codemasters)
  6. Battlefield 1 (EA)
  7. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Nintendo)
  8. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (Activision)
  9. Rocket League (505 Games)
  10. Horizon Zero Dawn (Sony)
