Dark Souls 3 leak claims to show early screens

A video claiming to reveal the first concrete details of Dark Souls 3 has hit the internet.

It comes from The Know. Eagle-eyed games enthusiasts will recognise them as the source of a recent report claiming that Microsoft had acquired the cancelled Silent Hills from Konami for billions” of dollars. That the claims were quickly denied by Xbox boss Phil Spencer was little surprise.

Now the channel has gone live with what it says is the first art from Dark Souls 3, rumours of which began to circulate last week.

A few other claims about the title are made, including a new bonfire creating mechanic, world-altering changes that transform bosses, 60 minutes of in-engine cut scenes (which would be highly unusual for the series) and the inclusion of swordfighting arts”.

The video also says the game is confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One but that a PC version remains negotiable” – which would be a surprise considering the huge success of Dark Souls 2 on Steam.

Will Dark Souls 3 be announced at E3? Luckily there’s only a week to wait to find out. In the meantime, here’s the video and some stills:
