Dark Souls II PS3 beta delayed due to server issues

This past weekend’s PlayStation Network beta test for Dark Souls II in North and South America has been rescheduled, thanks mainly in part to participants running into server problems.

Joystiq reports that the beta switch for the anticipated sequel was indeed flipped, but multiple issues largely kept PS3 owners with testing invites from playing at all.

We thoroughly apologize for all of the confusion and issues. We will be rescheduling the Network Test for another date,” a Namco Bandai rep said.

Everyone who was in this test will be allowed in for the next Dark Souls 2 PS3 Network Test. Your spot is secure.”

The publisher added that it hasn’t settled on a new date for the beta test, but it will have more info to announce this week.

Dark Souls 2 launches on March 11th in North America and March 14th in the PAL region for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
