Death Star and Cloud City maps heading to Star Wars Battlefront

EA has detailed four expansions on the way to Star Wars Battlefront for Season Pass holders.

The first, called Outer Rim, will arrive in March and sees players fighting among the locations Tatooine and Sullest. That will feature Jabba’s Palace of Return of the Jedi fame. In the summer Bespin will be released, bringing The Empire Strikes Back’s Cloud City (and Lando?) into the fold for the first time.

The big one comes in autumn, however, when the Death Star bundle arrives. Early 2017 will bring the release of a fourth, as of yet undetailed expansion.

Those without a Season Pass will be able to buy the packs individually, too.

There’s free content available to all players on the way as well. These include new Tatooine and Hoth Survival maps, Hoth costumes for Luke Skywalker and Han Solo and the introduction of private matches, daily challenges and community events.

There’s also new Hoth and Endor maps that support a range of game modes including Walker Assault. The Turning Point game mode introduced with the Jakku DLC will also roll out to all other Walker Assault and Supremacy maps.

In addition to the free content we will be delivering through March, we will continue to listen to our community throughout the year and provide updates designed to make Star Wars Battlefront even more fun for everyone,” senior producer Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir said.

At DICE, we’re passionate about what we’ve created with Star Wars Battlefront, and are committed to supporting not only the game but all of our fans over the months ahead. We can’t wait to keep traveling through the galaxy far, far away, with all of you. And as always, may the Force be with you.”
