A range of in-app purchases in EA’s mobile titles will be used to collect for wildlife charity WWF over the next week.
As part of the collaboration between EA Mobile and WWF, players of specific titles in EA’s mobile catalogue will be able to fundraise for specific animals and ecosystems by purchasing in-game items and bundles through the App Store, Google Play, Amazon and the Windows Phone Store.
35 per cent of net proceeds generated by the sales between January 15th and January 31st (February 3rd for Plants vs Zombies 2) will go towards WWF global conservation efforts.
The game and animals partnerships on offer range from the suitably linked, such as ‘Komodo Dragon & Heroes of Dragon Age’ and ‘Forests & Plants vs Zombies 2′, through to the slightly more tenuous ‘Poison Dart Frog & Theme Park’ and ‘Sumatran Tiger & Bejeweled Blitz’.
