EA Sports Season Passes to end next year

As EA prepares to launch its Access subscription model, it seems time is up for the EA Sports Season Ticket.

The Season Ticket, for a 20 one-off fee, allows sports gamers to get early access to certain titles and discounts for Ultimate Team packs and DLC discounts.

It launch back in 2011. This year will be the final year of it, and it will support titles FIFA 15, Madden 15, NFL 15 and NHL 15. The Season Ticket benefits will expire March 2016 and consumers will be unable to buy a Season Ticket from March 2015.

EA said: "We’re constantly looking at the benefits we provide to our players and ensuring that they are valuable and beneficial to as many players as possible.

"As more and more of our fans move to the new generation of consoles, we felt the time was right to start the process of concluding Season Ticket for the Xbox 360 and PS3."
