Sony has not just surprised fans with the announcement of a new free-to-play game set in the Resistance universe – it’s also made the game live.
Called Global Resistance, the game was revealed this weekend at the Comic-Con event in San Diego. It’s completely free-to-play but unlike its console cousins takes the form of a strategy title.
Players are able to fight for either the Chimera or the human resistance. Success will unlock content for the upcoming console shooter Resistance 3.
Users require either a PSN or Facebook account to register with the title. You can try the game here.

I wouldn't really say its a F2P game then. It sounds more just like a promotional application like that Dragon Age browser-based flash game or the Assassin's Creed Facebook app.
