Football Manager Online kicking off in China

A free-to-play Chinese version of Sega’s Football Manager Online is in development.

It’s being made by series creators Sports Interactive in partnership with DaLe Games. PvP elements have been reworked and will provide the emphasis of the gameplay, while plenty of social features will be slotted in too.

"For us, making a good game is never enough; we are shooting for excellence and constant innovation," boss Miles Jacobson said. "We want players to have a convenient playfield to compete and show off their skills and tactical prowess."

DaLe’s team manager Grace Bian added: Currently there are a fairly small number of online sports games in the Chinese market and even fewer hits. For us, the introduction of a high quality sports game like Football manager Online will be beneficial to the gamers, to the market and to us. We firmly believe this will be a game changer for the Chinese football game market.”

There’s no release date as of yet, but Sega says a launch should be on the way soon”. The official website can be found here.
