Future reshuffles games team

UK media publisher Future has announced a fresh bout of reorganisation in its video games team.

Former associate publisher Lee Nutter has been promoted to publisher and adds print magazines GamesMaster and Nitro to his responsibilities, which already include Future’s Nintendo portfolio.

Meanwhile, group publisher for console and online Simon Maxwell adds the firm’s Xbox portfolio to his job remit, while online associate publisher Mark Cantwell take charge of the Sony portfolio on an interim basis.

It has also been confirmed that publisher Richard Keith is to leave Future at the end of May to pursue other interests. Associate publisher Emma Parkinson is also on her way, though she will still oversee this October’s Golden Joystick Awards.

I’d like to thank both Richard and Emma for their great work for Future over a number of years and for all the work they have done to build the portfolios,” Simon Maxwell stated.

I wish them all the best in their new ventures, they’ll be missed as part of the team. Congratulations to Lee, whose promotion to Publisher is well-deserved and reflects his excellent work to date as well as his real potential to develop the business. Our games portfolio is at a very exciting stage of development as we expand our business across print, online, events and on-console.”
