GAME and Gamestation have today appointed Red Consultancy as their new consumer PR agency.
The UK game retailers previously used PHA Media for the past two years but as of today Red will be responsible for PR duties going forwards.
London-based Red has worked with a wide range of well-known companies including Barclays, very.co.uk and Samsung. It has won several awards including Best Technology Campaign in PR Week for its McAfee campaign and a Reputation Online Effectiveness award for its digital campaign for Cobra Beer.
PR Week reports a team of eight at Red will be led by board director Ben Dutton and associate director Eleanor Jones. They will cover brand campaigns and support major game releases for GAME and Gamestation.
“Red has a fantastic pedigree in both retail and gaming PR and they have shown that they understand the importance of engaging customers and driving customer behaviour,” GAME’s head of UK communications and PR Neil Ashurst told MCV.
“They proved that as well as offering great consumer insight and coverage, they can deliver results for us that will deliver genuine business impact.”
