UPDATED: GAME no longer offering Titanfall beta codes with pre-orders

UPDATE: GAME has also informed MCV that customers who pre-order Titanfall from the retailer will no longer receive beta codes.

"Thanks to our partnership with EA, we were able to receive some beta codes for Titanfall, which have already been given to a random selection of our lucky customers," said a GAME spokesperson.

UPDATE: EA has confirmed that GAME will not be offering Titanfall beta codes to customers who pre-order the game.

An EA spokesperson told MCV that the Titanfall beta is entirely closed, and there are no beta codes tied to pre-ordering the game going forward.

Only players who registered for access to the beta directly through EA and Respawn will be eligble for a code.

ORIGINAL STORY: GAME offering Titanfall beta access, codes on sale for £3,500 on eBay

It seems that just about everyone wants access to Titanfall and they’re paying silly money to do so.

The Titanfall beta launched this weekend and EA offered players the chance to sign-up for a code earlier in the week.

But as those lucky enough to be selected to participate have been emailed their access codes, some of the cheeky blighters have snuck them on eBay with the outrageous price tag of £3,500.

Elsewhere, GAME is offering a far more reasonably priced alternative by rewarding customers who pre-order the game with a code of their own.

The offer applies to those who have already ordered the shooter in addition to those who do so from now. But GAME has said it has limited quantities of codes to give away.

GAME is yet to formally announce the offer, but VideoGamesUncovered has shared a screengrab of the offer. It remains unknown if PC users are eligible to receive a code.
