There is just no stopping GAME.
The revived retailer has a string of new initiatives on the way, including plans for the ‘retail-destroying’ free-to-play and games-streaming sectors.
GAME CEO Martyn Gibbs told MCV that the company has ‘lots of things that have not been announced’ as he lifted the lid on a new series of events it’s running with media giant IGN.
“You’re going to be hearing about things on a weekly basis,” he said. “There is an awful lot going on about the next phase of the GAME app, PC downloads in store, streaming and free-to-play.
“We have a brand to manage nationally, and in terms of how that brand is defined at a local level.”
GAME is recruiting in order to build ‘the UK’s biggest gaming community’.
“We will exploit more opportunities, but only where we have people that know what they’re talking about.”
