Game profits suffer for Namco Bandai

The games side of Namco Bandai’s business reported a fall in profits, dropping 92.4 per cent over the firm’s second quarter. The fall saw profits slip to $3.4 million from $45.5 million.

Games revenue also dipped to $319 million from $385 million.

Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit, Super Robot Wars Z, We Ski and Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaicki 3 were the top performing titles for the firm, with the PS2, DS and PSP the most successful platforms for the firm.

Overall Namco Bandai performed better than its gaming arm, with a smaller fall in sales from $1.2 billion to $1 billion in a like-for-like period.
