Microsoft has, without great fanfare, revamped its Xbox 360-a-like Games For Windows Live service, and the introduction of a PC version of content delivery service Live Marketplace suggests that the technology firm is on the verge of launching its own digital downloads system.
Users will be able to access trailers, demos and, more importantly, DLC for titles such as Bethesda’s Fallout 3. Microsoft has also confirmed that a number of upcoming high profile titles will support the service, with GTA IV and Warhammer 40,000 name dropped.

Additionally, Games For Windows Live general manager Chris Early has confirmed to Shacknews that full game downloads are a big part of the firm’s future plans for the service, stating that it’s clearly it’s on our road map”.
The Marketplace is not yet fully operational, though an update expected in the next two to three weeks is expected to activate the service.
