Games Media Awards 2015 Finalists: Streamer

As we count down to the awards event on Wednesday October 14th, MCV profiles the finalists for this year’s Games Media Awards.

Here we look at the streamer category.

AppSpy

Each and every weekday AppSpy streams some of the best games on mobile and handheld, often well in advance of their release. With over five million views, the AppSpy Twitch stream is the place to be for all your pocket gaming needs.

Debbie Timmins

On Tuesday streams I drive trucks around Europe very badly. On other days I’m a news reporter on the world’s greatest dinosaur soap opera: Twitch RP on ARK: Survival Evolved. I tame dinos and go on dates using conversation topics crowdsourced from chat. It is both amazing and terrible.

Don Gaming

My names Chris. Official_DoN_Gaming used to be a pro sponsored battlefield team that I owned and ran, I used to stream each competitive match and really enjoyed the interaction, one day I just decided to put my life on hold and take up full time streaming….. 12 months down the line here I am with over 500 active subscribers and now over 51K followers, I love twitch and the crazy community I have built.

I try to give back as much as I can and I also own Elite gaming Network, a stream team on twitch with now over 60 other streamers 🙂

FlairFifa

Squad builders and training tips three times a week.

LTzonda

Commentaries, montages and review stuff, run by Luke.

Oshi7

We are Fred and Emily! Married gamers who are complete nerds, internet addicts and enthusiastic about vlogging and streaming!

ReseroNetwork

Resero is a no nonsense video network from the guys behind Xbox Achievements & PlayStation Trophies. Ever wanted to see three grown men excel at video games? Look elsewhere. Want to see some hilarious shenanigans and epic fails around every corner? Then the Resero Network is the place for you, beaming live and direct to your eyeballs 4 times a week on Twitch.

TwoMoreWhiteGuys

Two More White Guys are:

Chris Slight, games journalist. Credits include Sky News, CNBC, Ginx TV, Explosive Alan, The Game Jar and Loading Bar’s twitch output. Recently hosted MCM London Comic Con’s League of Legend championships.

And Steve McNeil, videogaming comedian, whatever that is. TV/Stage credits include BBC/Royal Institution Christmas Lectures, EGX 2014 & 2015, Videogame Nation (Challenge TV), 2015 E3 coverage (Ginx TV) plus live shows WiFi Wars and Go 8-Bit (in development for television).

Most weeks, they stream themselves playing computer games. Because that’s just what the internet was missing. Two more white guys, playing computer games on Twitch. Finally.
