Games The Shop, India’s largest physical game retail chain, now has an online presence. However, rather than setting up its own e-commerce portal, the retailer has chosen to go the eBay Store route.
The chain is a subsidiary of E-xpress Interactive, one of India’s largest game distributors, and has ten stores across India.
Games The Shop had so far resisted taking its business online, and the fact that it’s gone the eBay route rather than setting up its own online store is probably testament to that.
The eBay Store operates under the Games The Shop name itself, and at least based on current listings, seems to be pricing its games in line with prices at its physical stores.
India’s other major specialist retailer – Game4u also operates on eBay alongside its own online store. However, as we earlier reported, its eBay store is under a different name and is known to offer games at lower prices than its physical stores.
