GamesAid Golf and Spa Day returns in June

GamesAid will once again hold a Golf and Spa Day this summer.

The games industry charity has announced the event will be held at The Grove in Watford on June 30th, offering a 4-ball, spa treatment and table package to attendees.

All proceeds will go to the organisation’s chosen charities. Last year, the Golf and Spa Day raised the largest amount of money ever generated by a GamesAid event.

This year’s iteration is being organised by THQ’s Richard Stickler and Nintendo’s Louise Powell, who are being supported by Gem’s Keeley Munden and Karl Kisala.

Things will get better and better in 2011, by going back to basics,” said event organiser Richard Stickler.

Last year we tried to be too creative with a comedian and an auction, which meant proceedings went on far too long. In 2011, we have cut proceedings back to 20 minutes at the start of the awards dinner giving people more time to relax, network and just enjoy the evening.”

Let’s not forget that this event cannot happen without the support of the industry. Every year we have an aggressive fundraising target to beat and this year is no exception. We need you to be able to do it, so get involved and book your table of ten.”
