Ghost Recon: Wildlands returns to the top of the charts

Ubisoft’s latest Tom Clancy title, Ghost Recon: Wildlands, has claimed the UK No.1 title for the third time.

That means of the five weeks it has been in the charts, three of them have been spent at the top. We’re only in April yet already Ubisoft has enjoyed five No.1 titles, thanks to the two grabbed by For Honor.

Amazingly, last week’s No.1, Atlus RPG Persona 5, tumbles out of the Top 40 completely.

Overwatch’s chart resurgence continues, too. Having re-entered the Top 10 in tenth last week, this week the game surges all the way up to No.4, thanks to a 40 per cent sales rise.

Team 17’s Yooka-Layleee manages 6th in its first week, although its sales numbers will have taken a hit by the many buyers who will be receiving it direct thanks to the crowdfunding drive. Perhaps as a result, its week one sales lag behind 1998’s BanjoKazooie.

The only other new release in the Top 40 is 505 Games’ Stardew Valley at No.30. There are re-entries for Call of Duty: Black Ops III (33rd) and Halo Wars 2 (38th).

Here’s the full UK Top 10 for the week ending April 15th:

  1. Ghost Recon: Wildlands (Ubisoft)
  2. LEGO Worlds (Warner Bros)
  3. Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar)
  4. Overwatch (Blizzard)
  5. FIFA 17 (EA)
  6. Yooka-Laylee (Team 17)
  7. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (Activision)
  8. Rocket League (505 Games)
  9. The Legends of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Nintendo)
  10. LEGO City Undercover (Warner Bros)
