Green Man Gaming adopts SecuROM

Digital distribution upstart Green man Gaming has announced that it has struck a deal with Sony DADC to use controversial DRM SecuROM on its new online sales platform.

This partnership dramatically accelerates our initial offer to include the majority of AAA PC titles that are currently available,” Green Man Gaming CEO Paul Sulyok stated.

We are looking forward to working with SecuROM and bringing PC gaming to a wider audience through Green Man Gaming and our retail partners.”

SecuROM has felt the blunt end of gamer’s wrath in recent times, with EA forced to cut it from some of its biggest titles following ongoing disputes with consumers over its implementation.

However others, such as Capcom, have stuck up for the technology.

Green Man Gaming grabbed the headlines in January when it outlined its plans for an online sales platform that allows users to trade in their digital games.
