Green Man Gaming to add seven staff

Green Man Gaming is hiring seven new recruits after securing additional funding.

The ambitious digital firm is also launching its mobile Android platform next year, and is seeking partnerships with retailers across the world – including those based in the US.

CEO Paul Sulyok said: We will be rolling our platform out with our telco partners across their broadband networks and on our new Android platform in January, and we are looking to partner with a large US retailer in the next few months.”

The digital download trade-in service has vacancies for a financial controller, programmer, digital marketing manager, Python developer, web designer and two developers for Android.

Now that we have a tried and tested digital retail platform we are looking to expand Green Man Gaming in both a technical and commercial ability,” added Sulyok.

The most important attribute for an employee at Green Man Gaming is passion.

We require hard working, capable staff but we really need our employees to want to work here and help push digital retailing forward.”

Green Man Gaming allows users to download games then trade them in against the price of newer titles.

It went live in May this year with 500 games from 26 different publishers.

The online ecommerce portal has exceeded its targets this year so far and hopes to build on this success with aggressive expansion in the coming months.

Sulyok said: Overall we have been delighted with the first 10 weeks of trading and have exceeded all revenue and sales targets. We expect to continue this growth in Q4 with the additional content and platforms that we are extending to.”
