Hollywood talent announced for Black Ops

Activision has announced the latest stars of the silver screen to appear in a Call of Duty game.

Award-winning actors Gary Oldman and Ed Harris will lend their voices to the game, while David S. Goyer has signed on to provide script consultation and story development support.

Oldman, known for his work in Harry Potter and the new Batman films, will reprise his role as Russian soldier Viktor Reznov – one of the main characters from Call of Duty World At War.

Meanwhile, Harris will play one of Black Ops’ key protagonists: CIA operative Jason Hudson. Harris has starred in films such as A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13, The Abyss and A History of Violence.

Goyer’s writing credits include superhero blockbusters such as Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Blade and the forthcoming Superman: Man of Steel.

Oldman, Harris and Goyer are considered some of Hollywood’s finest talents and they perfectly complement Call of Duty: Black Ops’ ambitious and immersive single-player experience,” said Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia.

Their contributions have helped us to push the boundaries of our story telling and character development far beyond anything we have ever attempted before in the franchise.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops will be released on November 9th.
