Hotline Miami gets spring PS3 and Vita release date

Indie PC hit Hotline Miami is coming to PS3 and PlayStation Vita.

The gory retro-themed game has been an underground success on PC, shifting in excess of 300,000 copies. These new versions are being developed by Dutch outfit Abstraction Games, with creators Dennaton Games overseeing the work.

The game will support Cross-Buy meaning a single purchase will grant buyers access to both the PS3 and Vita releases, both of which are due out this spring.

Dennaton boss Jonatan Sderstrm said last October that he had been talking to Sony about such a release, although it stated at the time that a third party would need to do the groundwork.

Joypad support was patched into the PC release last year.
