How much is Wii U? Retail tells MCV £250 – £330

Two high end UK retailers have told MCV the rough prices of Nintendo’s new Wii U.

MCV understands the trade price for the Basic Pack is 205, the Premium Pack has a trade cost of 246 and the ZombiU version (which includes the Premium Pack, a Pro Controller and a copy of Ubisoft’s horror shooter ZombiU) has a cost price of 270.

One of the sources said he expects the retail prices to stick at around 250 for the Basic unit, 290 – 300 for the Premium unit and 330 for the ZombiU set.

Meanwhile, the retail games have an RRP of around 50.

There is currently no mention on the pricing list of a second GamePad. The seperate GamePad is not going to be available in Europe at launch as there are no games that utilise two Gamepads. They will be made available when the games are, Nintendo has told MCV. In Japan a second GamePad would set you back over 100.

Wii U launches on November 30th. The Basic Pack is a white model, featuring 8GB of memory and a GamePad. The Premium Pack is a black unit, with 32GB of memory, a GamePad, a copy of NintendoLand and the chance to buy games at a discount on Nintendo’s store.

The ZombiU set is the Premium Edition but with a copy of ZombiU and a Pro Controller.

Other launch titles include Call of Duty Black Ops II, New Super Mario Bros U, FIFA 13, Mass Effect 3, Batman: Arkham City, Rayman Legends and more.
