iGEA shifts website focus to family and health concerns

The Interactive Games and Entertainment Association (iGEA) has had a complete website redesign to try and reach a different segment of the games community.

The new site has specifically targeted those wishing to know more about health and safety concerns with videogames, as well as information for parents, and iGEA research.

With a renewed focus on games as a positive force for good, the site now talks explicitly about serious games, educational games and games as physical aids.

Raelene Knowles, communications manager for the iGEA, saya: "We get numerous inquiries to our office requesting general information about industry - whether it be for updates on our consumer research, media interviews, students or even parents needing information to help manage their children’s screen time."

The opening headline for the redesign is 'Computer Games keep the elderly on their toes'.
