Infinity Ward versus Activision court date set

Infinity Ward co-founders and defunct Activision employees Jason West and Vince Zampella will be taking their former publisher to court next month.

The trial date for the case, originally set for May 7th, will now take place on May 29th according to GameInformer. The date was moved back at the request of Activision.

The case includes The Infinity Ward Group, which is suing the publisher for $125m in unpaid bonuses.

It also involves Activision’s counter-suit, which has them requesting $400m in damages from EA.

The company claims the competitor conspired against them to destroy the Call of Duty franchise by consorting in secret with West and Zampella while the two were still at Activision.

Zampella and West were fired from Activision in 2010 on the grounds of the claimed meetings with EA, and have since formed Respawn Entertainment with some 40 other former Infinity Ward employees.
