Konami cuts Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes price

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has received a price cut… before it has even been released.

On PS4 and Xbox One the game was originally priced at £39.99 for the physical version and £29.99 for the digital. On PS3 and Xbox 360 the price was £29.99 for physical and £19.99 for digital.

Now the physical next-gen versions have been reduced to £29.99, although all other pricing remains the same.

"With the new pricing set for Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, Konami aims to provide as many people as possible an opportunity to experience Kojima Productions' new Fox Engine and the first instalment in the two-part Metal Gear Solid 5 experience," Konami said in a statement reported by Eurogamer.

The move comes as a response to concerns surrounding the length of the game, whose single player component can be completed in around two hours – proving all objectives outside the main narrative are ignored.
