Last chance to vote for GAME BAFTA Award

GAME is urging UK consumers to vote for their favourite game of 2011 before March 13th by giving away a Star Wars Xbox.

Gamers who vote at www.baftagameaward.com will be entered into a prize draw to win a Limited Edition Star Wars Xbox 360 console and Kinect accessory.

The BAFTA GAME Award of 2011 is voted for entirely by the public and thousands have already submitted their entries.

The shortlist includes Portal 2, FIFA 12, Uncharted 3, Skyrim and more (see below). It was selected by a panel of experts including The Gadget Show’s Jason Bradbury, Shortlist’s Jonathon Pile, ONM’s Neil Long, Future’s Tim Clark, OXM’s Jon Hicks, GameSpot’s Guy Cocker and more.

Voting closes on Tuesday, March 13th at 5pm. The awards ceremony takes place on Friday, March 16th.

GAME marketing director Anna-Marie Mason said: The BAFTA GAME Award is an award we are really proud of as it gives our customers the chance to get their opinion heard. And with just days to go, we want every single gamer out there to get their vote in.

We’ve been delighted with the voting numbers so far and it shows what a passionate group of people gamers are. However, we want even more people to get behind their favourite game in the next few days so that on March 16th, the nation’s favourite game not only has the accolade of being a BAFTA GAME Award winner, but is also one that was chosen by a record number of public votes.”

Here’s the full shortlist:

  • Batman: Arkham City
  • Battlefield 3
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
  • FIFA 12
  • L.A. Noire
  • Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
  • Minecraft
