Last chance to vote for your favourite GamesAid charity

The clock is ticking and the deadline to choose which charity you’d like GamesAid to support in the year ahead is rapidly approaching.

Fret not, though, for registered GamesAid members can now vote quickly and easily online.

First of all, sign up to GamesAid at the official website. Once you’ve done that, head over to the member’s page and you’ll receive a full run-down of each charity that has been nominated.

The five charities with the most votes will each receive an equal share of the funds raised byGamesAidthis year to a maximum of 20,000 per charity. Any excess funds will be distributed to the next highest voted for charities, to a maximum of 20,000 per charity.

Last year the voting was incredibly tight and one charity lost out by one single vote, so every vote genuinely does count.

The eight charities in the running are as follows:

Special Effect–helps young people with disabilities enjoy the world of video games and helps health and education bodies source entertainment equipment

Families Need Fathers– marital breakdown specialists that offers both parent and child support

Rainbow Family Trust– provides special care needs to children diagnosed with serious and life threatening conditions

The Willow Foundation– offers special days out for seriously ill patients between the ages of 16-40 and their families in the UK

MAPS Volunteer Centre Sutton– a mentoring service for clients with a range of behavioural difficulties ranging from aggression to domestic abuse victims

Action for Kids– a service provider for people with physical and learning disabilities, provides mobility help, work related learning and family support services

Huntingdon Dreamdrops– a fund generator for kids using hospitals of special care services in Huntingdonshire

Family Holiday Association– gives disadvantaged families the chance the get away and enjoy a trip that they otherwise would not be able to afford
