Last ever Oblivion DLC lands on Monday

US developer Bethesda

has confirmed

that the sixth and final piece of downloadable content for next-gen RPG Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be released on Xbox Live on Monday – and as a bonus it will be free for the first week.

Fighter’s Stronghold sees players take possession of their own castle complete with dining hall, barracks, wine cellar and training room. Players are then tasked with kitting it out and returning it to its former glory.

The developer and publisher added that it is ‘very close to working something out to bring existing expansion Shivering Isles to PS3 owners’, though it cannot yet clarify when this will happen or whether the content will be delivered via Sony’s PSN network or via a standalone retail disc.

In other format news, Xbox 360 owners without access to Xbox Live will from next week be able to buy the Shivering Isles expansion at retail, which also includes further expansion Kinights of the Nine.
