Microsoft has confirmed that Silver members of Xbox Live will be granted access to the multiplayer features of EA’s Left 4 Dead 2 next weekend.
Normally, only Gold members of the console network are able to access the online multiplayer features.
Access for Silver members will be turned on next Friday (January 15th) at 17:00 GMT and will run until 17:00 GMT on Sunday January 17th.
The boxed version of Valve’s game has already shifted in excess of 2m copies and EA will no doubt be hoping that the short-term opening up of the game’s multiplayer will encourage newcomers to the party.
