MCV Awards 2016 Finalist Profiles: Peripherals and Accessories Brand

As we countdown to the MCV Awards 2016, which takes place in London on March 3rd, we profile each of the finalists for the Peripherals category

A4T

In 2015, A4T held the biggest market-share of any company (incl. first party) in PS4 chargers, PS3 chargers and PS3 headsets, with the first placed product in each of these categories.

Astro Gaming

The company has links with companies like Multiplay, Gfinity and key UK games retailers and has also had success with wireless A50 products and the new wired A40 TR device.

Gioteck

Gioteck has a solid range of PlayStation, Xbox and PC accessories, covering stereo headsets, gaming headsets, controllers, power cables and gaming chairs.

MadCatz

Not content with co-publishing Rock Band 4, MadCatz launched the L.Y.N.X.9 Mobile Hybrid Controller and R.A.T. Pro X Gaming Mouse.

ORB

The last 12 months at ORB have seen a packaging relaunch and brand enhancement, new products for PS4 and Xbox One and increased penetration/presence on social media.

PDP

PDPs Afterglow Prismatic Controller for Xbox One was its key product for 2015, supported by the Afterglow Xbox App that enables users to manage/customise the peripheral.

Razer

Razer products are now sold through High Street retailers including GAME, Curry’s PC World, Maplin and Grainger Games, in addition to online retailers Amazon, Ebuyer, Overclockers UK, SCAN and the RazerStore

Turtle Beach

The headset specialist has extended its partnership with Disney and EA to produce licensed products based on the Star Wars Battlefront and The Force Awakens properties.

Venom

Venom strengthened relationships with its UK retail and distribution partners, as well as opening channels in Australia, New Zealand, GAS, France, Russia, Spain, Benelux and Iceland.
