The MCV Awards 2017 are now just over seven weeks away, with the trophies being presented on March 9th at The Brewery in London to recognise 2016’s finest achievements.

Today, we’re able to announce the finalists for this year’s awards. There are 25 award categories this year, which are divided up between the five judging panels -– more details on those below.

Almost 70 different companies are shortlisted for this year’s event. The most nominated companies are Ubisoft with 12 nods, Bethesda with ten, while PlayStation and Xbox are tied on eight.

Choosing the finalists is a huge task, and we endeavour to pass on all the strongest nominations to our judging panels, without overwhelming them with entries. The nominations and supporting documents will now be sent to our judges, who are all appropriate industry experts, each of whom will have an equal vote in choosing the winner.
