DARLINGTON JOINS DIXONS TEAM
Joshua Darlington has joined Dixons Retail’s PC gaming peripherals and upgrades team as assistant category manager.
He will be working primarily on the gaming part of the business, and boasts a journalist and marketing background.
Darlington is a keen gamer, both console and PC, and has a good knowledge of the market and trends, said Simon Urquhart, category manager, PC gaming peripherals and upgrades at Dixons.
We look forward to utilising him to help grow our gaming community presence and will lead the exciting gaming projects we have in the pipeline, as well as supporting me day-to-day."

Edge names new editors
Neil Long has joined Edge as editor of Edge-Online with?Nathan Brown stepping into the role of games editor across the whole brand.
Former MCV editor Long has been with?Future since 2008 where he has worked as editor-in-chief of Future’s Nintendo Group. He has most recently held the role of special projects editor – games, where he worked on the relaunch of iGamer.
Brown has been with Edge since 2010 and becomes games editor after being editor of Edge-Online. As a result of these moves, Andy Hartup now has more responsibilty for mobile and iGamer, becoming editor, special projects – mobile and free-to-play.
Gangat joins Super M
After being appointed as PR agency for Razor, Super M has hired Abid Gangat to work on the account as part-time account manager.
I am really pleased to have Abid on board and I think with his strong press relations, understanding of product promotion and great creative flare he will do a fabulous job for Super M and Razer,” said Laura West, managing director of Super M.
Gangat has previously worked in sales and marketing positions at companies including PQube and Panasonic and will be responsible for the Razer account.
