Nutter becomes Future group publisher
Lee Nutterhas been promoted to the role of group publisher for the Entertainment Group. Nutter steps into the role having helped develop the Total Film and Official Nintendo Magazine brands.

More jobs lost as HMV cuts continue
Troubled retailer HMV has let 60 members of staff go from its Head Office, including CEO Trevor Moore. This news emerged today, while yesterday it was revealed 930 employees would be lost as part of plans to close 66 stores.
The latest Head Office job cuts have left the entertainment retailer with a ‘skeleton crew’ in its video games division.
New creative director at SCEE
Industry veteran George Andreas has left Microsoft-owned studio Rare to join Sony Computer Entertainment Europe as creative director. Andreas had been at Rare since 1996 and has worked on titles including GoldenEye 007, Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Donkey Kong 64, Kameo, and Viva Piata. His new role will see him working from SCEE’s London offices.
The Arts Desk hires Munk
Previous Game Media Awards winner Simon Munk has joined Helen?K Parker on The Arts Desk’s games reviews team. The site won Online Media Awards Best Specialist Journalism website in 2012. The gaming section reviews titles across both the mainstream and independent side of the industry. Simon also continues to freelance for other media.
Adams joins Crytek USA
David Adams?has been appointed CEO of Crytek USA, a new studio based in?Austin, Texas. The company also recruited 36 core members of THQ developer Vigil Games for the new studio.
The team at Vigil had been left without a buyer after the events of the THQ auction and Adams takes on the role of CEO having been the Virgil co-founder and general manager.
I’m thrilled to be a part of the newest Crytek studio, which will boast some of the brightest development talent in the industry,” said Adams.
Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli added: The studio’s launch represents Crytek’s commitment to delivering diverse and high quality content to players everywhere.”
