In MCV’s weekly rundown of the hottest vacancies and latest personnel news, GAME loses five senior execs as part of its ongoing reshuffle and we look at the best job vacancies.
Senior execs depart in GAME restructure
Several of the specialist’s most popular execs are set to depart as part of its ongoing restructure.
Chief commercial officer Tricia Brennan (pictured on left), communications director Simon (middle), head of business development and insight Alex Vines (above right), operations director Robert Quinn and e-commerce director Situl Thakar will all leave over the next five weeks.
Remaining senior execs include trading director Charlotte Knight, supply chain director Lisa Dobrin and marketing director Anna-Marie Mason. They will now report directly to CEO Martyn Gibbs.
Divisional manager Dave Howard will take responsibility for GAME’s central and field operations across the UK. The online team will now report to IT director Andy Grainger.
Reorganising the leadership team to match the size and shape of ournew business means that we will also be bidding farewell to some friends,” said Gibbs.

Jurgen Post named Sega Europe COO as Mike Hayes departs
Jurgen Post will head up Sega Europe as its new COO.Post has worked at Sega for the past six years, before which he spent almost 20 years working at various Sony businesses – including a two-year stint at SCEE.
He will take up his new role in the summer as current CEO Mike Hayes departs after eight years of running the publisher’s Western business.Hayes was instrumental in Sega’s acquisition of Sports Interactive and The Creative Assembly, as well as pushing the company’s digital strategy. He leaves to pursue other interests both in and outside of the games industry.
Sega president and representative director Naoya Tsurumi said: Mike has achieved a huge amount during his time at Sega, and we thank him for the amazing things he has accomplished.”
Imagine’s Asadi promoted to head of publishing
The magazine publisher has promoted Aaron Asadi to head of publishing. He leaves his previous role as editor-in-chief for SciFiNow, Apps Magazine, Play and Imagine’s range of ebooks and bookazines. He will now be responsible for developing the company’s entire portfolio, as well as each brand’s multi-platform strategy.
