MCV Jobs Weekly: IGN promotes Krupa, top vacancies

In MCV's weekly round-up of the latest personnel news and hottest job opportunities, IGN names its new games editor and we look at the best positions available.

IGN promotes Krupa to games editor

The games and entertainment media giant has promoted Daniel Krupa to games editor. He joined IGN from university in 2011 and quickly built his reputation after reviewing new titles for the outlet.

Krupa is also nominated in the Rising Star category for this year’s Games Media Awards by industry peers.

Within his new role, Krupa will oversee IGN’s day-to-day editorial planning and content management, ensuring the content written by the UK team is promoted worldwide.

He will continue to write and host content on the site and will report to UK editor-in-chief Alex Simmons.

“IGN was Daniel’s first break in games media, so I’m delighted he quickly made a name for himself on the world’s largest website – not just in the UK, but internationally,” said Simmons.

“He’s respected by readers and a much-loved member of the team who has also become a powerful voice for the games industry in the mainstream press.”
