Cutland returns to games as Ubi UK PR
Lydia Cutland has joined the publisher as senior UK PR manager. She joins a reorganised Ubisoft UK PR team made up of senior PR manager Stefano Petrullo and junior PR manager Oliver Coe.
In the new role, Cutland will take over responsibility for a number of Ubisoft franchises, including Assassin’s Creed, Just Dance, Rocksmith, Rayman and the upcoming South Park game.
Petrullo will continue to handle the publisher’s corporate and trade PR in addition to Ubisoft brands Watch Dogs, The Crew and all Tom Clancy titles. Coe will oversee all of the publisher’s digital titles.
Cutland is best known to the industry for her three years at Microsoft as part of the Xbox PR?team. She has also worked stints at UK networks Three and Vodafone.

Colby heads up Sony DADC’s new London division
Peter Colby has been named president of the firm’s London-based global platform services division.
The new division headed by Colby will oversee clients’ chain operations and provide support with creative design, manufacturing, retail services and reverse logistics.
Colby joins the firm’s UK division having overseen the development of Sony DADC Australia.

Gem hires category manager
Andy Hirst has joined the distribution firm as category manager for its growing office products business. Hirst will report directly to the category head Colin Learmouth within the new role.
He joins Gem Distribution with over 25 years of experience in dealing with these products. Hirst has had previous stints at Office Depot, where he oversaw the management of office product categories. Most recently he managed his own retail and online business.
I’m delighted that Andy has chosen to join us at this exciting stage of our development. His experience will undoubtedly help us to better shape our product and service proposition for customers ahead of launch,” said Learmouth.
Hurley joins CultureTranslate as business development director
The QA and localisation firm has appointed Ann Hurley as business development director. Hurley will be tasked with expanding the firm’s localisation business across Europe.
She joins the firm having held positions at US Gold, Ocean Software, Focus, Bigben Interactive and Pole to Win.
Hurley was also entered into the Women in Games hall of fame in 2012 and was named as one of the Top 100 Women in Games earlier this year.
